About The Role
Event Management:
Greet and maintain communication with customers throughout their events to ensure seamless delivery. Communicate event details, both forthcoming and past, to relevant colleagues.
Effectively manage and operate public and private events. Curate the RFSK programme of events.
Manage and maintain IT systems to support efficient event management.
Reactive Sales:
Implement policies and procedures to achieve sales objectives, including:
Responding promptly to enquiries and capturing all necessary customer information.
Maintaining customer data in line with GDPR regulations.
Inputting enquiries accurately into Rezlynx and Eventbrite.
Assessing enquiries to maximise occupancy and revenue.
Costing events, maximising profit margins, and negotiating pricing to meet financial targets.
Operating a timely chase and trace system for confirmed bookings.
Communicating effectively to ensure successful conversion of enquiries into bookings.
Promoting repeat bookings and maintaining accurate billing and marketing collateral
Proactive Sales
Drive new events business and coordinate outreach to potential clients.
Write copy for the three yearly events newsletters.
Host networking events at RFSK to build client relationships.
Membership Management:
Manage the RFSK relationship with the Penn Club social committee.
Coordinate programmes of events for the Penn Club & St Katharine’s House in consultation with the social committee.
Administer memberships, including production of membership cards.
Drive growth in St Katharine’s House membership.
Business Management:
Monitor competitive trends and provide recommendations to strengthen RFSK’s position.
Conduct regular pricing reviews with the General Manager.
Contribute to the production of the annual budget and targets.
Ensure the Events Team is aware of performance against budget and empowered to take corrective action.
Manage event revenue and consumption within budget.
Participate fully in relevant change management initiatives.
Communication and Interaction. Produce and update forecast reports weekly.
Represent RFSK in all interactions in line with the Foundation’s ethos and values.
Collaborate with colleagues to achieve effective outcomes for the organisation.
As a Christian Retreat Centre, it is desirable for the post holder to have an active understanding of the Christian faith. Experience of working within a charity setting would be advantageous, and a background in hospitality, events, or sales would also be beneficial.
