About The Role

Rooted in almost 900 years of Anglican sacramental tradition, our diverse international community brings together reverent worship and outstanding music with healing, education, cultural engagement and practical care for our neighbours. The Rector will honour these foundations while advancing Vision 2030 by deepening worship and discipleship, strengthening pastoral care and outreach, developing others, and building relationships with our congregation, schools, volunteers, local organisations and the wider Diocese. Supported by committed Churchwardens, PCC and congregation, they will lead the parish’s distinctive ministry of welcome, healing and service into its next chapter.

The successful candidate will be someone who offers:
• Spiritual depth and theological confidence: rooted in Scripture, prayer and the Anglican sacramental tradition, with the ability to preach clearly, accessibly and with relevance to people at different stages of faith.
• Compassionate pastoral leadership: warm, approachable and attentive, with experience of healing and reconciliation ministries.
• Commitment to children, young people and schools: experienced in strengthening church–school relationships, supporting Christian education, developing family worship and creating pathways into lifelong discipleship.
• Inclusive community-building: able to create belonging across cultures and generations, connect different congregations, and offer a generous welcome to newcomers and visitors.
• Collaborative leadership and people development: experienced in leading clergy, staff, PCC members and volunteers, equipping others for ministry and building shared, sustaina-ble leadership.
• Strategic and organisational capability: able to translate vision into clear priorities, with sound experience or understanding of governance, finance, fundraising, communications and environmental responsibility.
• Appreciation of worship, music, culture and heritage: confident in sustaining a rich litur-gical and choral tradition while using arts, hospitality, heritage and major services as invi-tations into faith and parish life.
• Mission-focused partnership and growth: able to build relationships with healthcare, charitable, civic, ecumenical and diocesan partners, expand outreach and encourage par-ticipation, service and volunteering.
