Kensington Area covers the London Boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea, Hounslow, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Richmond-upon-Thames (North of the River – known as Hampton Deanery). Kensington Area also contains the only deanery in the Diocese that is outside the boundaries of Greater London – the Borough of Spelthorne, which is in the administrative county of Surrey and historic county of Middlesex.
Kensington Area has a population approaching one million (pending 2021 census data). There are communities of high-density inner-city housing, luxury mansions and everything in between. The Area is also ethnically diverse, as embodied in flourishing parish churches worshipping together in languages such as Gujarati, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Italian, Farsi, Tagalog, Russian, and Ukrainian.
