About The Role

Use your expertise to help shape the future of one of London’s most significant charities.

The Diocese of London touches the lives of millions of people through churches, schools, chaplaincies and community projects across the capital. We’re looking for skilled professionals to bring independent insight, challenge and expertise to three of our governance bodies:

  • Audit & Risk Committee
  • HR Committee.
  • Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP)

If you’re an experienced leader in any of these areas: finance, audit, risk, HR, governance, safeguarding, technology or organisational change, we’d love to hear from you. These are opportunities to contribute to an organisation with real purpose, strong values and a lasting impact on communities across London.

These are volunteer roles and the commitment for each of these governance bodies is approximately 4–5 days per year.

For further information and a candidate pack, please contact Lizzy Millar at governance@london.anglican.org. Please state which governance body you would like to be considered for. The closing date for applications will be 11 October 2026.

Bringing diverse skills, backgrounds and perspectives is important to us, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Equal Opportunities

The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME), women, and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
