She has been this nation’s unerring heartbeat, through times of progress, joy and celebration, as well as in darker and more difficult times.
I have been proud to serve, in recent years, not just as Bishop of London but as Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal. The Queen has often remarked that she has drawn great comfort in Christ’s teachings throughout her life, and her deep Christian faith continually shines through in an enduring, steadfast commitment to the common good.
We are blessed by Her Majesty’s calm leadership, her honour and her dignity. We should cherish all that she gives, knowing she has always given her all.”
