Berlin Brandenburg

began in 1999 when the Bishop of London and the Bishop of Berlin-Brandenburg committed to deepening their unity in Christ through prayer, witness and service.

As cities, our churches have stories which are mutually recognisable, but also strikingly different. The Partnership exists not for church tourism, but for a deepening of understanding, and to provide opportunities to think together about common issues.

A lively exchange programme runs between Berlin parishes and London parishes for mutual learning about mission in our respective cities.

Every two years a Berlin-London conference is held (open to clergy and laity).

Every Area in our Diocese is currently engaged in the Partnership in some form, but there is always room for more and for a greater range of diverse participation.
