About The Role
We are praying for a prophetic, energetic, self-starting man or woman of God with clear leadership gifts and an evangelistic & pastoral heart – to work and dream alongside the vicar, staff and leadership team to grow a healthy, outward-focused church to impact our local community, North London and beyond for the Kingdom of God. This would most likely be someone who is either coming to the end of a curacy or been working for a church in a significant leadership capacity – looking for further opportunity to grow as a leader.

Pastoring & Teaching
– Public worship — leading, preaching and presiding
– Sermon series planning and delivery
– Pastoral care and congregational visiting
– Supporting, training and equipping volunteers and church members
– New Wine local leadership network
Leadership
– Steering Group and staff meeting
– PCC and BBT
– Line management and staff care
– Working with the Vicar to prayerfully discern future outreach and growth opportunities
– Continuity when the Vicar is away
Delegated Leadership Responsibilities
Heading up some of these areas, to be agreed with the Vicar
– Evangelism & Mission
Leading our evangelistic courses, including Alpha
Oversight of our community outreach and the Open Door Centre
World mission partners and local charity links
– Discipleship & Pastoral Care
Connect Groups oversight
Oversight of Kids + Families ministry as well as youth ministry.
Occasional offices lead (weddings, funerals and baptisms)
Leadership of the Pastoral Care Team
Delegated leadership of the Safeguarding Team

Theological and biblical course
– A mature, spirit-filled disciple of Jesus Christ, rooted in relationship with God the Father and committed to being daily led by both the Bible and the Holy Spirit – pursuing love and eagerly desiring to grow in gifts of the Spirit.
– Committed to the authority of Scripture and holding to an orthodox position in matters of faith, ethics and conduct.
– Loves local church with relevant experience working within the Charismatic Evangelical Anglican fold, with grace and love for a wide spectrum of people from different backgrounds and church experiences.
– Confident in public ministry, with a strong record of preaching but also leading small groups/one-to-one and of leading led by the Spirit, in a range of ministry context.
– Evidence of personal outreach and motivating others to share their faith.
– A good manager of people – grace-filled & able to motivate, manage and monitor in such a way as to achieve the vision, build teams and release gifts and skills in others.
– Strong relational skills, approachable and compassionate.
– Relevant administrative & IT skills to support the role.
– Committed to continued personal growth and development.
– A heart for children, young people and families, and a track record of releasing them into ministry rather than running programmes for them.
