YOU WAKE IN MY HEART
An Advent retreat on letting go to God with Christopher Chapman.
The season of Advent invites us to make room for God. As God awakes within, we begin to wake into the fullness of our being. In meeting our longing, we encounter the God who is always longing for us. Our emptiness becomes the place of God’s indwelling. Through the writings of the prophets, the work of poets across time and the wisdom of the spiritual guide John of the Cross we will explore this Advent awakening.
Christopher Chapman is an experienced spiritual director and retreat giver. He is an associate tutor at St. Augustine’s College of Theology and a guest director at St. Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre. His most recent book, Doorways to Hope: 40 days of spiritual wisdom, explores the landscape of hope in a challenging world.
Arrivals on Sunday afternoon with check-in to our lovely en-suite bedrooms from 4.00pm, with the first led session with Christopher after the evening meal.
Departures on Tuesday 2.30pm after lunch.
