Church leaders, clergy, lay pioneers, diocesan teams, chaplaincies and parish volunteers are warmly invited to the Anglican Network for Intercultural Churches (ANIC)’s 3rd Anglican Intercultural Mission Conference: The Primer.

This year’s gathering will explore “The State of Intercultural Mission in the Church of England”, offering a practical, accessible day for anyone seeking to deepen intercultural belonging, discipleship and mission in local church life. Sessions will examine the current landscape across parishes and dioceses, highlight challenges, and share examples of effective practice that can be adapted in diverse local contexts.

Designed as both a standalone training day and a primer for a larger national intercultural mission gathering planned for autumn 2026, the conference aims to equip churches to move from aspiration to action, strengthening relationships across cultures, ethnicities, languages and communities.

The Rt Revd Dr Tim Wambunya, Bishop of Wolverhampton and Founder Chair of ANIC, said:

“Intercultural mission is more than welcoming diversity; it is the gospel work of building churches where people from different cultures and backgrounds share belonging, leadership, discipleship, and mission – so that Christ is made known, and the beautiful kingdom of God is seen more clearly among us.”
