Come join us for an evening with the Michael Ramsey Prize-winning author Frederick Christian Bauerschmidt, Professor of Theology at Loyola University, who will be speaking on his award-winning book ‘The Love that is God’ – offering a rich exploration of faith, God’s identity and divine love. Find out why ‘The Love that is God’ has been described as a book that “shines new light on the mystery of God’s love” (Paula Gooder) and “is destined to become a classic” (Stanley Hauerwas).
The Michael Ramsey Prize is the book award that celebrates the best contemporary theological writing in the Church. It was established in 2007 by Archbishop Rowan Williams, to encourage the reading and writing of contemporary theology. Through generating publicity and stimulating conversation, this prize seeks to promote to a wider audience some of the best theological writing of our times. It was relaunched in 2023 by Archbishop Justin Welby and awarded to Frederick Christian Bauerschmidt, Professor of Theology at Loyola University Maryland and deacon of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
