A half day course led by Fiona MacMillan and Ann Memmott

Tuesday 6th October 2026, 1.30pm – 4pm, on Zoom

Building on the Introduction to Neurodiversity training offered by the Diocese, this half day course explores how liturgy and worship can be a more meaningful and inclusive experience.

Please note we expect you to have done the introductory session before doing this.

The course aims

· To enable participants to understand and be able to identify barriers which neurodivergent people may face; and

· To equip participants to understand and be able to create/evaluate more accessible liturgy

Contents include:

· A review of neurodiversity principles and access/inclusion,

· Historical and modern theological understandings of neurodiversity,

· Barriers to participation in worship and possible solutions,

· Co-production.

We will use a mix of input, reflection in small groups, case studies, plenary discussion and Q&A.

This session last for 2.5 hours. There will be a 20 minute break. Captions will be enabled throughout. Slides can be provided in advance if you would like this.
