Through the lens of Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s ‘I have a Dream’ speech, an opportunity to creatively re-imagine a different world for today and tomorrow.

Martin Luther King in many of his sermons and speeches invited people to consider the possibility of the impossible. A world where discord and division yields to peace and unity, where “four little children will one day live… where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character.” How might we, through poetry, re/discover the Christ in the face of the other, and let freedom ring from our communities?

This gentle and creative workshop will encourage us to reflect on, write down and, if you wish, to share with each other our poetic dreams for a better world.
