The heart of Christ is ‘ecstasy,’ openness, gift, and encounter. In that heart, we learn to relate to one another in wholesome and happy ways, and to build up in this world God’s kingdom of love and justice. Our hearts, united with the heart of Christ, are capable of working this social miracle. – Pope Francis, Dilexit Nos (2024)

In October 2024, Pope Francis published his encyclical letter Dilexit Nos – ‘He loved us’ on the human & divine love of the heart of Jesus Christ.

At this one-day IN-PERSON workshop, members of our Spirituality, Theology and Social & Environmental Justice teams respond to the Pope’s inspiring words on the heart as our ‘coordinating centre’ and offer connections with Ignatian spirituality and social concerns.

Come and join us for a day of thought, reflection and prayer to open our hearts and minds as we contemplate the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
