Churches have been at the forefront of the campaign to win a real living wage for more than two decades, inspired by faith to secure just wages for workers.

Join us here at the Guild Church for Workers at St Katharine Cree during Living Wage Week for this celebration of the contribution of churches and people of faith to the campaign in London.

We will listen to testimony from workers, hear from Scripture, sing together, pray, reflect on why God cares about justice for workers, and celebrate our action for justice together with hope and faith.

Once again our service will be led by the Bishop of London, the Rt Revd Dame Sarah Mullally and leaders from Citizens UK member churches. Music for sung worship from the Gospel Choir of St Anthony of Padua, Forest Gate.

The service will be followed by a drinks reception and celebration.

Before the service there is an optional workshop exploring the Biblical roots for a living wage and thinking biblically and theologically about fighting for justice led by the team from Theos, the religion and society think tank, and co-chaired by organisers from London Citizens. There are limited places available so you need to book but places are free of charge. You can find out more here: https://skc.churchsuite.com/events/cey96pyc
