Ismael and participants will translate some of the most famous poems from that era into British Sign Language (BSL) and present his own poem, inspired by the stories of the deaf community during the conflict and the war’s iconic symbols.
The workshop will start at 6:00 PM and will last approximately 1.5 hours. This will be a small event fully conducted in BSL. Attendance is free, but booking a ticket is required to manage numbers.
The event is part of our ‘Sharing our Future’ project and has been made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
