Join art historian Maryanne Saunders for a unique guided visit to the National Gallery and St Paul’s Cathedral. Moving between gallery and cathedral, the sacred and the secular, Maryanne will help us unpick the relationship between art and space. From liturgical pieces in the National Gallery to contemporary artworks in St Paul’s Cathedral, this tour will delve into centuries of artistic tradition, inspiring wonder and reflection for us today in two of London’s most iconic spaces.

Dr Maryanne Saunders is the Howard and Roberta Ahmanson Research Fellow in Art and Religion at the National Gallery, London. Maryanne is a specialist in Gender in Religious Art with her most recent work revolving around the grandmother of Christ – Saint Anne. Formally Access and Career Development fellow at Lincoln College, University of Oxford, Maryanne is passionate about public engagement with arts and culture particularly working with communities who are underrepresented in the higher education and arts sectors.
