The Church of England has published the independent review by Keith Makin into the handling of allegations of serious abuse by the late John Smyth. The National Church has made the report available here.
The report details the extent of the horrendous abuse carried out by John Smyth, and the vital learnings that are required across the Church of England. The bravery and dignity of the survivors who contributed to the review are at the forefront of our minds and prayers at this time. We are deeply conscious of how traumatic the details that are now in the public domain will be for them and for others.
