As we mark International Anti-Slavery Day in October we know that modern slavery is still sadly prevalent across our Diocese.

This free online session, for all church members and leaders, will help us think about what we can do to respond.
We will be joined by Hope at Home, who run a free hosting scheme for those who are survivors of modern slavery.
They will run through where modern slavery might occur in our communities, what we can do to challenge and report it, and how it impacts victims. We will also hear about their hosting scheme, which offers a safe, time limited and supported way of hosting in our homes for survivors of modern slavery to repair and rebuild their lives.

Tonight, while many of us lock our doors and settle down at home, survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery across the UK are facing a very different reality.
For some, escaping exploitation is only the beginning of the journey. Without somewhere safe to stay, survivors can find themselves at risk of further homelessness, isolation and re-trafficking.
That’s why our hosts and landlords open their spare rooms to survivors rebuilding their lives after exploitation, offering accommodation, but also stability and hope.
