This day is for anyone engaged with, training for or interested in Lay Ministry.
We will gather from across the South-East and London to be resourced and inspired by a great time of lay people, each one currently involved in ministry and sharing out of their own experience and practice. We are delighted to welcome this year’s key-note speaker: Mirjam Ngoy-Verhage
The day will explore topics such as discipleship, lay pastoral ministry and lay pioneer ministry, including time for discussion, reflection and questions.
Not to be missed!
Mirjam Ngoy-Verhage works as Discipleship Enabler for the Diocese of London, supporting communities in deepening discipleship and spiritual formation. She has walked a path of lay ministry for many years, seeking to accompany others in their journey of faith.
At Leicester Cathedral, she was licensed as an Associate Minister, a lay role in Leicester Diocese, with a focus on deepening discipleship. In London, she was commissioned as Discipleship Enabler by the Bishop of London. Mirjam is also a trained Spiritual Director, accompanying people in recognising Christ at work in their daily lives. She is a member of the Nazareth Community in London, where she serves in leadership.
Originally from Delft, Netherlands, Mirjam moved to England in 2007 to pursue a Master’s in Theology & Ministry at Durham University. Since then, she has lived and served in Canterbury, Gravesend, Leicester, and London.
