A scenario‑based workshop where participants work together on a safeguarding scenario focused on youth and children’s work. | Book your place here.

What is contextual safeguarding?

Contextual safeguarding recognises that children and young people can experience harm in the places they spend time and through the relationships around them. It focuses on how peer groups, community spaces, and online environments can shape safety.

For anyone working with children and young people, it means noticing what’s happening in the wider context and building safe cultures where concerns can be identified early and responded to well.

What will happen during the session?

We have 3 different contextual safeguarding sessions . This is SESSION 1

Come along to this practical workshop looking at a safeguarding scenario that focuses on children and youth work. The session will be an opportunity to work through a scenario and have a conversation with others about safeguarding culture within the context.

Before the session, Scenario One will be sent out as preparation, and Part Two will be revealed in person.

Refreshments will be provided

If you have any questions about the session email cypf@london.anglican.org
