In Autumn 2026, the next round of Incumbents’ Leadership Programmes will be starting. These national programmes enable clergy to strengthen their ministry with Children, Young People and Families (CYPF), helping younger generations grow in numbers and depth of faith. Further details can be found in this leaflet.
If you are a leader of a mid-sized church, defined as having 11-24 children and young people in weekly attendance, the course is for the incumbent alone. If you are a leader of a larger church, defined as having 25+ children and young people in weekly attendance, you will need to form a team of six people from your church, lay or ordained, paid or voluntary, who share an interest in this ministry and are willing to do the training together.
If you would like to be considered by your bishop for nomination to one of the Incumbents’ Leadership Programmes, please email rosemary.lainpriestley@london.anglican.org by 18 June 2026. The bishops will consider these expressions of interest and submit nominations as appropriate. There are limited places and it may therefore be necessary to limit the number of nominations.
Please note that if you are a resource church leader and wish to take part in the Camino training the bishops are not responsible for nominations, so please email St Hild at planting@sthild.org but do let your bishop know that you have made an enquiry.
