As part of our short film series, Disability & Ministry Stories, the Revd Dr Ayla Lepine and members of St James’s, Piccadilly share their experiences of the value of their Disability and Accessibility Group

Ayla writes: “When this film was made, St James’s held an exhibition in the chapel by the disabled feminist artist Nancy Willis. At St James’s, we work towards ending ableism – discrimination against disabled people – as a church rooted in prayerful and justice-seeking activism. As a parish, in ways both small and large, short-term and longer-term, we hope to be a place in which all barriers to belonging are removed, so that every person can truly belong and participate in church life together. We would particularly like to thank Fiona McMillan and Revd John Beauchamp for their help in shaping our approach to disability and ableism.”
