At the Heart of Faith: the Trinity as the Hope of Humanity
Talk by the Revd Ian Mobsby
The Trinity is one of the most difficult ideas in Christianity to get to grips with - everyone from St Augustine onwards wrestles with it. But the paradox that God is three and God is one is the heart of the Christian faith, and engaging with it can draw us towards a new sense of God as fluid, vibrant and above all a dynamic loving presence in our lives. In this talk the Revd Ian Mobsby, Priest Missioner at the Moot Community and author of God Unknown: the Trinity in contemporary Spirituality and Mission, will explore the mystery of the Trinity as filled with hope for humanity.

Radical Hospitality Evening: 'From a Meal to Forever'
God 'sets the lonely in families' and encourages us to 'welcome strangers'. How do we do this with wisdom and sustainability to effect change and reduce the numbers of homeless teenagers on our streets and children in the care system?
An evening of challenge, inspiration and enabling, with input from professional organisations and personal stories, how through adoption, fostering and crisis lodging, the church can welcome the stranger. One bed for one night in one home makes a difference. One child or teenager given a home in each church community could solve the problem.
JustShare talk: The Art of Shared Spaces: Where is the social value?
Ben Quash, Professor of Christianity and the Arts at KCL will speak on how art is a means of expressing religious and social ideas.
Ben Quash will explore how art is a means of expressing and developing religious and social ideas. He is fascinated by how the arts play a part in renewing and refreshing theological engagement with the Bible, and how Christian themes, as encountered in London’s art galleries, churches, theatres, cinemas and streets, have helped to shape our city. In this lecture, he will ask how far London’s art and architecture shape our social interactions, values and the way we engage with each other every day.

Do you have a passion for living out your values and calling by building the Kingdom through business?
This involves wisely using the abilities God has given us to create good things, love our neighbours and make God known among all people. You can be a very positive influence in the workplace - probably more than you can imagine.
This conference will envision and equip you to build the Kingdom through your work.

How do you keep the best of the past while planning in the present for a vision of the future?
How can you live on purpose whilst allowing others to do the same?

Engaging with Community Primary Schools
Exploring church links and relationships with non-church primary schools.
Led by Lesley Prior of the London Diocesan Board for Schools and Neil Evans, Director of Ministry, with input from headteachers and experienced clergy.
Almost every parish in London has at least one, and often several community primary schools – and every parish has children going to them!
As clergy we accept participation in the life of Church of England Primary Schools as the norm, but building relationships and making connections with community schools can be more complex and sometimes challenging. Yet, as Church of England parish clergy we regard them as part of our 'cure of souls'.
The aim of this consultation is to look at practical ways of developing links between head teachers, students and staff of community primary schools and clergy and church communities, which goes beyond (though may include) assemblies and governing bodies. There will be examples of good practice and an opportunity to share experience.
Speakers will include both head teachers and experienced clergy.
