About The Role
St Gabriel’s PCC and St Gabriel’s Parish House Trust seek people with vitality, maturity and lively faith to join the Parish team serving the dynamic and diverse community of Pimlico.
The Diocese of London is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults through the use of the Safer Recruitment practice guidance. This role is subject to acceptable pre-appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.
Depending on skills and experience, this exciting post offers opportunities for pastoral care, leadership of worship and study groups, ministry to children, young people and adults, and the possibility of a range of community development projects, delivered in an innovative way. This includes work in local schools and our Youth Club on the Churchill Gardens Estate which provides training in youth work skills through our professional Youth Work team. There is also the opportunity to work with a local music charity.
There is a genuine occupational requirement for candidates to be Christians. The post would suit – but is not confined to – those exploring their vocation. The post is open to be taken up from September, 2026, but for the right candidate an earlier starting date is negotiable. Appointment subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Equal Opportunities
The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME) and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
