As part of our Capital Vision 2020 we are each seeking to pray for seven people that we may share with them the story of our faith. Who could you pray for?

This short film suggests some of the people we could pray for and introduces the PrayerMate app which can help remind you to pray for seven.

Week of prayer before Pentecost

Encouraged by the Bishop of London, the focus of our 2016 Ascension to Pentecost week of prayer will be on praying for others that we may share with them the story of our faith.

Already parishes around the Diocese are responding with their plans to get involved. For example, within the City Deanery 21 churches have committed to being involved. Their plans include all night prayer vigils, open churches for prayer with special prayer stations, special services and evangelistic events to which people can invite those for whom they are praying.

On the eve of Pentecost, many from across London and beyond will join in a beacon event “Your Kingdom Come” at St Paul’s Cathedral with the Bishop of London, Pete Greig, Liz Adekunle, Al Gordon and Tim Hughes.

The message of Jesus is for everyone, whoever they are. Let’s start by praying for seven.
