- Some time was taken discussing how to create the expectation before election that PCC members will be required to take the Basic and Foundation safeguarding training, as well as complete an enhanced DBS straight after the APCM if the PCC works with children and/or vulnerable adults, e.g. Sunday school.There is an updated nomination form here for use that clearly states the requirement. This can also be found on the Useful Links page of the website.
We would also recommend that the person chairing the APCM makes this clear at the APCM before the election of lay representatives.
- Online training in different languages – this is not currently available but the Basic and Foundation training are available in both Enhanced Accessibility and British Sign Language formats.
