Katherine Miller, Kensington Area Schools and Youth Chaplain reports on the an area youth weekend away, at Oakwood Youth Challenge, Berkshire, that took place on Pentecost weekend, 14-15 May.

“The Kensington Area Youth Weekend Away was a wonderful weekend! We have 45 young people from 10 different churches within the area, with 15 leaders helping and supporting. The weekend involved silly games, yummy food, high ropes, great teaching, worshipping together, flying kiwi’s, prayer time, air rifle shooting, holy communion, a massive bonfire and wonderful fellowship!

“We were exploring how we can ‘Get Connected’ with God, how we get connected with our churches, how we connect others to God and how we get connected with the Holy Spirit. The Bishop of Kensington, The Rt Revd Graham Tomlin joined the camp on Pentecost Sunday, helping us to think about how we can connect with the Holy Spirit.

“All the leaders involved loved getting to know the young people who attended and would appreciate your prayers for them as they explore faith and grow as disciples of Jesus.”
