About The Role

St George the Martyr Holborn are looking for an experienced Business Planner to develop their Outline Business Plan into a full 10-year Business Plan that is sustainable, responds to the needs and resources of the church and demonstrates comprehensively how the SGTM Project 300 – Securing the Legacy project will be sustainable far beyond the end of the project life and make a lasting difference to the church’s heritage, people and communities.

  • Develop the business plan to reflect the project as it evolves during the development phase
  • Produce a full 10-year Business Plan for the church
  • One aspect of the business plan is the development of a venue hire business within the church and the consultant will be expected to undertake detailed local research and benchmarking to establish the market demand for and price sensitivity of the church’s future offer
  • Work closely with the PCC, project Board and Client Project Manager, providing reports and attending meetings as required
  • At least 5 years’ experience of preparing business plans for National Lottery Heritage Fund projects (£2m +)
  • Experience of preparing business plans in faith-based organisations
  • Experience in business plans which include venue hire elements
  • Knowledge and experience of the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s requirements and priorities
  • Ability to present financial information in a clear a legible way, and produce a plan that the church will be able to use and modify in the future
  • Strong report writing and presentation delivery skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively with PCC, rest of the consultant team and volunteers
  • Knowledge and experience of the National Lottery Heritage Fund priorities and processes
