For clergy

Would you like to be part of a peer supervision group for a year, meeting periodically with a facilitator and four or five colleagues from across the Diocese? Several groups will be running in 2026. Feedback from the pilot group last year has included appreciation of being listened to, of the standard of facilitation, of the wisdom in the room and the chance to have space away from the ministry context to reflect.

This is an opportunity to explore your challenges in ministry, share wisdom and experience, and be supportive and informally accountable to one another. You would need to be available for a residential at the start, at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine in Limehouse, on 26th/27th January 2026, lunchtime to lunchtime. Your group would then agree nine dates to meet, for up to three hours each time, throughout the rest of the year. The cost to participants would be limited to that of travel to and from the residential and the nine group sessions. Costs of accommodation and refreshments at the residential will be met by the Diocese.

Places are limited and will be allocated to ensure participation from across the whole diocese, aiming for as much diversity as possible within each group. Expressions of interest should be sent to the Bishop of London’s office, to Rosemary Lain-Priestley rosemary.lainpriestley@london.anglican.org and must be received by Friday 19th September. Please put ‘Peer Supervision’ as the subject line and include the following details:

  • Year of ordination to the diaconate
  • Current role
  • Context – eg. urban/suburban
  • Anything you feel comfortable to tell us which will help us achieve diversity across the groups
