Across the Diocese of London, we see the beauty of the Gospel taking root in the quiet, faithful acts of generosity that sustain our common life. Like seeds sown in good soil, these gifts, both great and small, allow our parishes to flourish, deepening our shared witness to the love of Christ in every corner of our city.

As the seasons turn, we are renewing our commitment to nurturing a joyful and confident culture of giving. This is not merely about sustaining buildings; it is about supporting the heartbeat of worship, the warmth of community outreach, and the daily ministry that brings hope to our neighbours.

A Season of Focus: Giving as Discipleship

Throughout the month of March, our Giving and Finance team will lead us through Focus on Generosity. This diocesan-wide initiative offers more than just practical tools; it offers a theological vision of giving as a vital part of our walk with God.

At its heart lies a simple, biblical truth: giving is mission. When we speak of generosity from the pulpit with grace, model it in our leadership, and support our treasurers with care, we prepare the ground for our churches to thrive.

The month will culminate in a gathering of support and encouragement for our treasurers on 28 March. Led by Bishop Emma, this day will seek to root our financial practices in prayer and purpose, ensuring that our stewardship is always an act of worship. Sign up this event through Eventbrite.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”  2 Corinthians 9:7
