Assistant Priest and School Chaplain, St Mary’s, Twickenham
‘For every Londoner to encounter the love of God in Christ’
St Mary’s Church Twickenham seeks to appoint an Assistant Priest and School Chaplain.
This three year post will include being involved in the whole scope of the church’s mission and ministry, with an emphasis on children and young people, and also include working as Chaplain to the three-form entry Church primary school, on a roughly 50/50 basis.
The successful candidate must be a person of prayerful spirituality, an excellent communicator, theologically confident, liturgically competent, warm hearted and be of a cheerful disposition.
They should have experience of and a particular interest in the spiritual nurture of children and young people and be able to offer pastoral support to families and to the teaching staff at the school.
We are looking to appoint someone who will build on the many years of ministry in our parish and school, to make the Christian faith exciting and real to those on the fringes of the Church, and be a person in whom others can see the love of God.
Enhanced DBS will be required.

The Diocese of London is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME), women, and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
