Job Title: Children and Families Worker
At: St Saviour’s Wendell Park, Cobbold Road, Shepherds Bush, W12 9LN
Hours 16 hours per week
Salary £10,500 per annum
Responsible to Priest in Charge

We are looking to appoint a part-time Children and Families worker who will be responsible for the development, growth and the delivery of the ministry in church and in our community with children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Plan activities for our Sunday children’s ministry that establishes them in faith, roots them in the Bible and encourages them to encounter God in the Spirit and excellently deliver the Sunday programme.
Support families (particularly under-5’s families) to integrate into church life, build community with parents and carers to empower their engagement and involvement.
Designing and co-leading one-off seasonal and community events and services for children and families as needed around the liturgical calendar year under the direction of the Priest in Charge e.g. Christingle service, a light party on Halloween, the church Patronal (birthday) party, Easter donkey rides in the park, a summer garden party at the vicarage with children’s activities.
Pastoral care of children and families where appropriate.

Skills Required
A leader who is passionate about working with children and their families.
Excellent communicator with adults and children. Self-motivated and effective personal discipline. Excellent organisational skills. Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
