St Mary's Church Vicarage, Upper Street, Islington, London N1 2TX
We aim to follow Jesus Christ by loving God wholeheartedly and loving our neighbours as ourselves. St Mary’s has a vision for living out an active and attractive response to God that leads to growth in the church and works for transformation in our neighbourhood. We believe that God is already at work in the world and that in all our ministry we work in partnership with his Holy Spirit.
We don’t separate our work with young people and children into a disconnected department. Rather, we see it as an integrated part of our whole ministry for God. The youth and children’s minister works with fifteen volunteer leaders and helpers.
Our activities with young people and children are already well-established and well run. We’re in contact with over 100 children and young people and many more through our partner organisations. Typical weekly attendance in our groups is (SMS: 15, Youth Church: 6 , Kid’s Church: 10, Starter Church: 10, Creche: 8).
We’re eager to see further growth and the successful candidate will have opportunity to shape and develop our programme in the future.
