We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors

Shot of St Paul's Cathedral for Ambassadors film

One of the themes which emerged from the conversations which shaped Capital Vision 2020 was a repeated call for ways of equipping people more effectively to live and speak the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their everyday lives. It was this call that inspired the vision of 100,000 ambassadors equipped and commissioned to represent Jesus Christ beyond Sundays, among the people they meet during the week and in the places where they live and work. The first 10,000 ambassadors have already been commissioned and almost 100 churches have already joined in.

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors” (2 Corinthians 5 v20)

This short film tells something of the vision, and I encourage you to share it widely, and capture the confidence that the gospel has things to say about the real lives we lead, and that followers of Jesus live out their faith in the world – speaking and living the gospel.

Most importantly, can I encourage you to join in making our churches places that increasingly encourage and support people of all ages in their everyday discipleship, seeking to equip and commission ambassadors for Christ in daily life.
