The City Churches Grants Committee (CCGC) undertook a review of the methodology of the CCGC in order to ensure funds were distributed in accordance with the defined charitable purposes.  Clarity has been given to the eligible churches as to what can and cannot be applied for and a more transparent application process has been established.

Clearer reporting and closer monitoring of grants is being established. A review of the needs of the City Churches in the light of their requirements for repairs and development of their work following the pandemic is leading to the development of a clear strategy for the use of funds to secure their sustainability for the next stage of their life.

The Committee has also considered the processes for tracking funds from application to final reporting at the end of a project, especially in the light of the fraud, the inquiry into which is published here.
