The Church will provide a café, nursery, learning workshop, community garden and hall, for all of the residents in Hale Village. With a 500 year lease we are here to work with the children, the grandchildren and the great-great grandchildren of the people living in Hale Village today.

The Engine Room is run by Priest Missioner, the Revd Andrew Williams, who was inducted in September 2014. Assisting him are community workers Andrew and Martina Kwapong who have been in place from the beginning; and a local administrator. Using an interim centre, a regular programme of activities has been established in partnership with community groups, with one-off events increasing their reach and participation.

From Pop-up Cafes to X Buses, Knitting clubs to Art workshops, as well as Sunday worship and monthly Church Café, they are working at the heart of the community to make a difference. You can find out more by visiting their website.
