Unconscious Bias training gives an overview of the nature of bias and how implicit associations can and do impact on individual and group attitudes, behaviours and decisions-making processes within an organisational context. It raises awareness of the science behind the concept of unconscious bias, including the physiological nature of bias. The training raises awareness of the evidence on the nature of bias covering the major fault lines of race, gender, sexuality, disability, age and other social categories, as well as the fault lines of education and social class. The training has been rolled out across the Diocese and all those who have done it have commented on how useful it has been.
This training is being delivered by Dawn Lewinson, Director of Diversity Inspired Solutions and the Reverend Canon Arani Sen, Director of Ministry for the Two Cities Area.
