New resources launched for Climate Sunday

The climate has no borders. Cop 26 in Glasgow 2021

The UN’s annual climate change conference, known as COP26, is of special significance this year. It is scheduled for November in Glasgow (co-hosted with Italy).  It aims to deliver a vital boost to every country’s climate commitments.

Our Climate Sunday initiative is to culminate in a national Climate Sunday event on Sunday 5th September 2021.

Your church is warmly encouraged to plan its own Climate Sunday any time before then.

We want 10,000 churches nationwide to take part, stating loud and clear the determination of churches and Christians to care for God’s creation by helping tackle climate change.

In the Church of England and many dioceses including the Diocese of London, that means working to achieve net-zero carbon by 2030.

Register your Climate Sunday on the Climate Sunday campaign website.

Download the Climate Sunday poster here. Other resources can be found on the Climate Sunday website, including service plans, prayers, music and hymns, readings and more.

The official COP26 poster and message is also highlighted above, at the head of this page.
