Grace Church Highlands in Enfield celebrates 10th birthday

Grace Church Highlands 10th Anniversary

Grace Church Highlands, Enfield, recently celebrated its 10th birthday with a special birthday service led by the Bishop of Islington, The Rt Revd Ric Thorpe. Grace Church Highlands is a local Church of England church and meets in Highlands School, Worlds End Lane, Winchmore Hill.

The Revd Andy Wadsworth, the minister for Grace Church, said of the service:

“We were thrilled that Bishop Ric was able to join us to celebrate and give thanks for the first 10 years in the life of our church. We have a mission and heart to continue to serve our local community and to share the good news of Jesus Christ, and we look forward to doing so in the years ahead”.

Founded in January 2007 by a group of 30 members from Christ Church Cockfosters, the flourishing church now regularly attracts over 100 worshippers in Highlands School. Grace Church’s growth is reflected in the Diocese of London’s commitment to create 100 new worshipping communities by 2020.

Newcomers and visitors are always welcome. As well as a weekly Sunday service at 10.30am with groups for all ages of children, the church runs community activities including youth football evenings, Community Cafés in Highlands Village Hall and ‘English for You’, an English language support club.
