London Diocesan House slashes carbon footprint

The Diocese of London’s office, in Causton Street London SW1, has made huge progress on the road to eliminating its carbon footprint, achieving a staggering 96 percent reduction in net greenhouse gas emissions, between 2005 and 2012.

Ash and carry: parishes give a moment of prayer to passers-by on Ash Wednesday

With ever hectic lives and struggling with daily demands, people often do not have time to stop and take a moment to focus on God. At the start of Lent, one parish in Campden Hill has offered one of the holiest of symbols, the Lenten Ashes, out on to the streets of London, to giving a moment of prayer on Ash Wednesday to passers-by.

Bishop of Kensington launches schools Lent programme

The Rt Revd Paul Williams, Bishop of Kensington, launched an extensive Schools Lent Programme today at Bishop Wand School in Sunbury-on-Thames. At the launch, the Bishop made pancakes for students, with proceeds going to the Church Urban Fund.
