These are the fees for clergy undertaking ‘occasional duty’.
From 1st April 2023 the recommended scale of fees for priests undertaking occasional duty is:
One service per Sunday £49
Two services per Sunday £56
Weekday service £38
Self-Supporting Ministers, Licensed Lay Ministers and clergy who already hold a stipendiary post are not eligible for these fees. Retired clergy are eligible for the full fee. Weddings and funerals have separate regulation; see Fees for baptisms, weddings and funerals.
Reasonable travel expenses should also be offered to all clergy:
