If you need to make a post redundant (e.g. because that role is no longer required) it is essential that the correct legal process is followed. There are also minimum amounts that must be paid to an employee in the event of the need to make them redundant and it is prudent to ensure there are sufficient PCC reserves to cover this eventuality.
