Learning through covid

We’re encouraging all our church groups to look back on 2020 and reflect together on what the Spirit is saying to us in these unprecedented times.

1. How are you feeling about mission and ministry as we begin 2021?
2. What has started through the pandemic that might continue?
3. What are you learning from what has stopped or started?
4. What support do you need at this time?

You may wish to reflect on these questions as a group. Please share with us your support needs as well as good examples of what you have learned so we can encourage others: 2030.vision@nulllondon.anglican.org

Below you will find some activities, tools and resources that may help you respond to the challenges around you.

Lent Term Activities

Confident Discipleship and Spiritual Formation

The importance of small Christ-centred groups of encouragement and formation have come to the fore at a time when we cannot gather in larger settings

Compassionate Communities

Covid has shone a light on Christ’s hands and feet as we show the world we are his disciples by putting His love into action

  • Let’s not forget the climate catastrophe and our prophetic voice for God’s creation. Join us for a training session in January on how to run Energy Switch Days
  • If your church is responding to serious youth violence do get in touch to be invited to a round table event in January/ February
  • We are encouraging churches to support the ‘Hunger Free Future’ campaign, run by the Trussell Trust and launching Feb/March
  • Find out more about Money Help Toolkits for individuals and families in debt. We are also holding weekly Virtual Coffee Mornings on a Thursday for anyone supporting those who have money worries or debt concerns- if interested please send us an email and you will be sent the link to join
  • Respond to Modern Day Slavery taking place in communities – sign up to join us for our ‘Hidden Voices Training’ (link to come shortly)

Creative Growth

How can we keep our aim of reaching every Londoner with the gospel in these times?

  • Join us on a Plant course, taking place from Jan to March, or sign up from April to June
  • Join us on the Grow course, starting in March 2021
  • Get in touch if you’re interested in our Pioneer school
  • Get in touch if you’re interested in our work on Estates
  • Join us for any of our regular livestreams
  • Join us for our conference ‘multiplyX 2021: Together’ on 24 June 2021

Growing Younger

How can we continue to grow in numbers of children and young people, our discipleship of them, grow the number of younger leaders and grow our response to issues that matter to children and young people?

Whilst lockdown makes children and youth ministry difficult in our churches, there are still many ways we can create space for children and youth to participate and contribute in our communities:

  • See the latest guidelines for working with children and youth, curated resources and opportunities to connect with others on our main webpage
  • Learn new skills for children and youth ministry via The Learning Hub
  • Email us if you need advice or support
