The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a growing development of five new neighbourhoods with 8,000 new homes. Chobham Manor, made up of the former Athletes’ Village, where houses are already complete, includes a large ‘through’ school for 3-18s. The area has excellent transport links and sports facilities, the busy Westfield shopping centre and new businesses, contributing towards 11,500 new jobs.

A new church presence

The development sits across our boundary with Chelmsford Diocese. The Archdeacons of Hackney and West Ham are working together to identify what faith provision is needed, to enable existing parishes to thrive, and to identify potential for new community spaces at the heart of the development. In London, the villages of Sweetwater and Eastwick lie within the parishes of St Mary of Eton and St Paul, Old Ford, and will bring 1500 new homes to the Diocese.
