The activities of the Church of England within London are many and varied, taking place within our parishes, chaplaincies, schools and other organisations.

In 2019 we began a journey together to renew our vision for serving Jesus Christ in this great World City over the coming years. Over 4,500 people took part in a survey, which formed our 2030 Vision.

Within this section you can find out about the ways the Church is present in LondonĀ – in our local parish churches, chaplaincies, church plants and missional communities – and find out about the ordained and lay people who lead them.

The Church of England in London runs thousands of groups working with children and young people, refugees and asylum seekers, the homeless and runaways, the unemployed and the lonely, families and the elderly, people with disabilities, physical and mental illness, addictions and debt management problems, ex-offenders and prisoners. We are committed to environmental issues, fair trade and making London a better place for ethnic minorities. Many of these groups are supported by our Community Ministry team.

Our local and international partnerships are important to us, including those with dioceses in Africa through ALMA, our European links with Berlin-Brandenburg, and locally our relationships with other faith groups.
