There’s a richness of life expressed through the work of the Church across London. People are connecting in all sorts of ways: in churches, in public and through traditional media, such as parish magazines and newspapers. The digital life is also growing and growing as people build ever-deeper connections online to family, social groups and their Christian communities. What opportunities are there for us to communicate the Gospel better?

It is now so important that our clergy and lay people be confident in using social media to reach more people with the Gospel. Before deciding whether to join a church in worship, many people will first check online. A good parish website is an appealing ‘shop window’ that will attract visitors.

London Witness is our media training programme lay members of the Church of England in London. It offers training in successful, constructive, and articulate engagement so that London Witness participants can be confident in speaking positively about their Christian faith in the public square.

Our parish communications network will help the person¬†with responsibility for a church’s website, Twitter &¬†Facebook accounts, the parish magazine or the notice board in the church porch communicate the Gospel through their work. Our parish communications toolkit offers advice on a wide range of subjects.
