Ordination Candidates

Incumbents and other clergy who have candidates for the ordained ministry, stipendiary or non-stipendiary, should in the first instance contact the Area Director of Ordinands, who will initiate the process of selection and recommend to the Area Bishop whether or not a candidate should be sponsored to attend a Bishops’ Selection Conference. Candidates who are ministers or priests of other churches should be put in touch with the Area Bishop.

The Area Bishop and Area Director of Ordinands exercise a continuing care for a recommended candidate in training. Candidates should keep in touch with their Area Bishop and Area Director of Ordinands, especially about any changes in their circumstances and about the choice of a Title, whether it is likely to be within the Diocese or elsewhere.
