This administrative post is to support the work of training and development for clergy and lay ministers in the Diocese of London, assisting the Director of Ministry and the Ministry Team in their work.

  1. Assist the Ministry Team with the implementation of the vision for clergy and lay training, support, and development in the diocese, with particular reference to the Diocesan 2030 Vision.
  2. Coordinate the annual Diocesan Continuing Ministerial Development (CMD) programme for clergy including study days, residentials and special events for specific groups e.g., Licensed Lay Ministers, Self-Supporting Ministers, etc
  3. Organise and assist with courses, conferences, and training events, both in person and online. This will include taking bookings, booking venues, speakers, liaising with other bodies and confirming requirements and logistics, ensuring courses attended are entered against clergy names on the database. Gather and analyse feedback on events to assist in future course development using SurveyMonkey.
  4. Producing and disseminating publicity via mail chimp, through Episcopal Areas, via website, and when required in print form, including the Post Ordination Training (POT) booklet.
  5. Organising additional training courses to meet new needs and initiative, using Eventbrite to gather and monitor bookings.
  6. Assisting with logistics and refreshments for events at Diocesan House, St Mellitus College and other venues.
  7. Administering the Licensed Lay Ministry (LLM) Scheme. Central coordination of the LLM Scheme, arranging finances, student numbers. Organising the LLM Discernment Panels, including distributing all the paperwork beforehand, setting up the LLM pre-licensing retreat, ensuring fees for St Mellitus course are paid by parishes and candidates where applicable.
  8. Website Management. Ensure Ministry webpages are updated, generating tweets and liaising with the Communications department.
  9. Gathering and updating statistical analysis related to ministry in the diocese.
  10. Servicing Ministry Officers meetings, including taking notes.
  11. Providing administrative support to ensure best practice with regards to Ministerial Development Review across the Diocese.
  12. Processing invoices and budgetary information
  13. Liaising with Episcopal Area Staff and LDF Staff as appropriate to the above.
  14. Assisting the Director of Ministry and members of the Ministry Team in the day-to-day discharge of their responsibilities.
