Youth Worker, Christ Church Roxeth, Harrow.
Salary: £23,000 -£25,000 depending on experience.
We’re seeking someone to work with others to empower, engage and enable young people across a variety of contexts across the diverse London borough of Harrow.
Focusing on 11-18s (as well their parents/carers, volunteers and relevant supporting staff). We are looking for a team player with Godly Character who is able to relate well to young people. They will be highly motivated, have strong interpersonal skills and able to empower young people to realise their potential and voice in the community and in the Church.
The emphasis of the role would be on outreach; prioritising working with young people currently outside the church, while also facilitating discipleship among those within it. Much of the work would be done with key partnerships – working closely with our Children and Families Worker, as a key member of the OneChurch Harrow youth team, with local schools, Re:Gen (local Christian schools work), the YMCA (hostel next to CCR) and the Charles Gardner Memorial Fund (local youth charity).
Our regular activities and groups include an open-access youth club on a Friday night, detached work on a local estate, discipleship small-groups, a youth-centred Sunday evening gathering, and plenty of scope for developing our digital evangelism & discipleship in a Covid/post-Covid society.
