More information: http://www.stlukeshampstead.org/

St Luke’s Hampstead is an Anglican Evangelical church in northwest London. We are passionate about making Jesus Christ known to our church family, our local area and beyond. We have a strong emphasis on expositional Bible teaching, because we believe that God speaks through his Word and that his message is relevant for our lives today.

Our aims are:

• To know Christ better, by supporting and encouraging one another to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.
• To make Christ known, by teaching and explaining the truth about Jesus Christ to all who have not heard or responded.

Children and young people are a key focus of our ministry; we seek to teach and explain, to nurture and encourage, from the very youngest to our teenagers, and at the same time to partner with and equip their parents.

We are looking to recruit a Youth & families worker to join our staff team from September 2018 on a full-time basis. You will oversee our youth and children’s work, continuing to uphold it as a Gospel-driven and Bible-centred ministry, in close cooperation with the Vicar, wardens and PCC.

You will be responsible for: discipling and training all those who serve in our youth and children’s ministry, and for supporting and equipping our parents as they bring up their children in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.

You will experience: ministry as teamwork, joining our team of Vicar, Assistant Minister / Curate and Apprentice, and leading a large team of those of our church family who lead our Sunday and midweek groups.

You will have opportunities to: oversee children’s holiday clubs and youth weekends away and to partner with other local churches to hold termly youth events. You will also help run our ministry with St Luke’s Church of England School, leading assemblies and afterschool clubs, and acting as the main liaison contact between the church and school.

You will be part of: a close-knit, warm and welcoming church family, drawn from both within and outside the parish; our typical Sunday morning congregation of around 100 means you will get to know us all easily.

We will offer you: accommodation and a salary dependent on experience.
